And Now I Did It...

After toying with idea of going for a fresh install of Mac OS X I finally gave in to the temptation a new operating system. I must say with all the criticism I had heard I was skeptical at first. I had heard some horror stories online. I don't know if it's my level of intellect or if it's dumb luck but I haven't had a single problem yet. Leopard is running smoothly on my MacBook. If you have any questions on how I achieved such a thing let me know. Leopard is amazing so far... if you want to know what I really think let me know.

The Red Sox Did It!!!!!

Finally I feel that it's safe for me to post comments about the Sox. As a Sox fan of course I am superstitious. It's all over now. We came back for the sweep just like in '04. It was awesome. So many great plays were made in both the ALCS and the World Series. Lowell being the MVP and Jacoby Ellsbury, Dustin Pedroia, and Kevin Youkilis all made key plays in their success. Now for something completely different... A-Rod is opting out of his contract. Lets see what happens to the Yankees team as it falls apart . GO SOX!!!!!!!!!

Why The Long Break?

The ALCS was just to intense for me. I didn't want to make a post expressing my joy only to find out that the Red Sox lost so I wanted to wait until the final game. Tonight was such... we demolished the Indians 11-2. World Series between the Boston Red Sox and The Colorado Rockies. I can't wait to see what happens.

Game 2 ALCS...

So here we are... poised to jump ahead with a 2-0 lead and we screw up royally. We made it to the 11th inning and it all went to hell in a hand basket. We exhausted our Pitching staff and gave up 7 runs in the 11th. Now with the series being tied at 1-1 lets see what happens with Game 3. Will Dice-K pitch? Will he be able to perform? His last performance was decent at best. I want to see the Dice-K we all know and love.

Game 1 ALCS...

It was a concern when Heffner started off the 1st inning with a home run but the Sox quickly changed that. Sox dominate the first game of the ALCS with a win over the Indians 3-10.

A Christmas Story...

In Halo 3 they have added Saved Films. Although my 360 has still been returned to me I did have a chance to play Halo 3 during the Beta test. My 360 also died during that time as well.

Yankees vs. Indians

Looks like I was celebrating to soon. Indians lose 8-4. Damn Johny Damon was the Hero for the Yankees. Worse case scenario they end up back in Cleveland with the bugs... then whoever ends up facing us on Friday will be wore out.

Game 3 and its a sweep.

The Red Sox have just dominated in the first part of the ALDS. Now who will win in the 3 game for the Indians and the Yankees. If the Yankees are swept than we will see the Indians Friday. I LOVE THIS STUFF!!!!!! I can't get enough of baseball.

The Game is less than 12 hours away from now. I can't wait... I am pumped. Is Schilling going to show us all what it was like 2004 to be a champion. Is he going to give us a shut out. The Angels have a tough pitching staff but so do the Sox. Statistically the Sox have the BEST. Will Ortiz have another day of intentional walks or are they going to give Manny the same treatment after Fridays game? All I know is that I am proud to be a TRUE Red Sox fan... band wagon fans are not welcome here. Just out of curiosity can the Yank's pull off a win tomorrow? Will they turn the series around and come out victorious? We will see...

Game 2 Clenched...

Manny with the walk-off home run. That was awesome!!! Tied game 3-3 in the bottom of the 9th. 2 Runners and 2 outs... Manny saves the day. I love this sport. Did I mention the Yankees ate it AGAIN? Thats 2 games they have lost... 1 more and they are out.

Game 2 ALDS TONIGHT!!!

I can't wait to see what happens tonight. Dice K is starting after giving his arm plenty of rest... this could turn out to be another amazing night for the BO SOX!!!!! Also did anyone catch the Yankees score from yesterday? They got stomped... I hope that happens to them 2 more times. They deserve a swift kick to the groin like that more often.

ALDS Starts TODAY PEOPLE!!!!!!!

I am so excited about tonights game. The BO Sox are opening with Beckett and going with Dice K for game 2 and Schilling for game 3. This season has been so awesome even with the few disappointments against the Yankees. This is it... another chance at taking it all. There is a reason I have been a diehard fan since I was born. GO SOX!!!!!!

Halo 3, The Reason you need a 360...

Seriously if you don't already own a 360 this is your reason. I may have had issues with mine but they are correcting them. This is it. Finish the fight... Halo 3 is given 9.5 by IGN. Other sites even gave it a 10 out of 10. Watch the video review to find out why it got a 9.5 and why it also got a 11 out of 10 from the same reviewer.

Yet another reason for my girlfriend to call me a nerd. I can't help the fact that gadgets get me excited. I am not exactly sure how this thing works but damn it I want one.

The 2 Things I am anticipating...

Halo 3 and OS X 10.5... Weird how one is a video game created by Bungie which used to be an Apple exclusive video game company and now it's Microsoft owned. I am a huge Apple FanBoy. The term fanboy doesnt really bother me. I am proud of it. I have been a devout fan since 1988 when I got my first apple IIfx.

Back to my anticipation... Halo 3 is huge to most console players. It's one of the most anticipated games ever. I had a chance to play the beta a few times before my 360 died the first time. The graphics are fairly impressive. The game play is the best part. No more random deaths from bullets that didn't touch you. You actually have to have talent to kill someone... no lucky shots. The weapons actually behave like weapons and the sound quality is insane.

OS X 10.5 is my other must have for October. The reason, my MacBook is hungry for an OS that uses it's processor to it's full potential. There are so many enhancements to the OS. Everything from an awesome backup utility to iChat green screen.

The Damn Yankees...

Did it Again! I friggin' hate the Yankees... but then again what TRUE Sox fan doesn't. Although Schilling hadn't thrown 100 pitches, I think that the fact that it was the 8th with Jeter coming up to bat he should have been pulled. He pitched a very good game but he gave Jeter the winning home run. We had a very good chance at coming back in the ninth with loaded bases and Ortiz batting. It wasn't enough to win the game.

So here is the background...

In may I was playing Halo 3 online and my 360 froze. I reset the console and it worked for a few minutes and then it froze again. This time I get the dreaded 3 red lights. For those of you who don't know this means my shit is fucked. I am pissed. The Beta for Halo 3 just started and was only going to last for a couple more weeks. I call up M$ customer support and spoke to some Indian fellow who I could not understand even if my life depended on it. What I did understand was that my shit was fucked and they were going to take care of it. The man proceeds with the questioning and finally says yo shit is fucked up and we gonna fix it... not really. But he did say that it would take 3-5 business days to get the box and 8-10 business days from the day I ship it for them to get it back to me. This was cool because I would still get to play a few matches of Halo 3 before it ended...

1 1/2 months later...

I am furious. I found another website where the people who run it review games for a living. A man on there wrote an article about how he experienced the same exact issues as me... not only him but several others also experienced the same thing. Shortly after I posted a comment on there a report was released that 33% of the current xbox 360 owners have experienced hardware failures. I find this hard to believe because out of all my friends I would say that 75% of them experienced this same issue.

3 weeks later...

I come home from my trip to Florida to find my 360 waiting for me. I am so happy to have it back.

3 months after first issue...

I am posting on www.weplayxbox.com AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My 360 died again after a month. here is what I had to say "Here we go again… I had written a comment on here a couple of months ago about how I received the 3 red lights. It took 2months to get it back even though they promised it would only take 8-10 buisness days from the day i shipped it out. I missed all of the halo 3 beta. I was excited about finishing some games i had purchased since getting it back the end of July. Now we are just days from the launch of Halo 3 which I have reserved my limited edition copy. Looks like I won't be playing at launch. 10 Minutes into playing Spiderman 3 which sucks almost as much as the movie did and it DIES. No 3 red lights this time… now its a dead dvd-rom. It spit the disc out and gave me the screen with "please insert a 360 playable disc". Now I am really pissed. They promised me my original 360 would be the one I get back when in reality they sent me an older 360 from launch. My 360 was pristine and this one has sticky shit all over the front of it. Looks like I will be getting another refurb. Why can't they send me a superior new model with a better dvd-rom and heat sinks that won't allow it to die during my funtime. My whole summer is gone… months of paid xbox live subscription out the window. I wish I had a wii or ps3. At this point I only want the 360 for Halo 3 and GOW."

I know I sound like a nerd but I do like to get out and Run, Kayak, Fish, Bike, anything really. I have always played video games. I have always been a computer nerd. The good thing is I know how to balance my time and make sure my Girlfriend gets plenty of attention.
